News: Ferguson Middle Bowling League a Hit

Ferguson Bowling League

It’s been almost a year since our first summit meeting and FYI has
done some great things. FYI’s goals have always been to find safe and
fun stuff to do around town. With the help of adults in the community
and students like you, we’ve created some great opportunities to
share.

Starting out, there were three things FYI wanted to help set up: a
roller skating rink, a bowling alley and a youth center with computers
and a recording studio. Thanks to the hard work of Mr. Charles Rimkus,
Ferguson Middle School has already established a bowling league of
their own. Every Tuesday after school, 33 students ride to Dick Weber
Lanes to bowl. For just $5, the students get to learn the rules of the
game, improve their bowling skills and practice good sportsmanship.
Not only do the students get to meet other kids, they get to learn
from some great adult leaders.

The league will go on for 10 weeks, ending right before the
Thanksgiving break. A new league will start up in January and they’re
looking for more interested students. If this sounds like something
you’d be interested in, email fyi@fergusoncity.com.
