We are looking for an energetic, self-directed, and organized intern to work closely with the FYI Board of Directors and the Ferguson Youth Advisory Board. The Intern will assist in implementation and planning to support FYI’s goals of developing a communication system informing youth on programs; connecting youth organizations; expanding collaboration efforts; and coordinating a youth driven process.
As well, this person shall develop and implement a Youth Survey/Forum to update the benchmarking and data associated with the strategic planning of the Ferguson Youth initiative. The conclusion and results of this survey shall lead to the successful updating of the FYI business plan and marketing strategy. Through purposeful, authentic, and meaningful projects and tasks, the Intern will gain essential skills in understanding of strategic growth functions in the non-profit sector in addition to interpersonal skills of working with youth and a diverse group of community volunteers. This internship is open to college students, recent graduates, and graduate students.
TIME COMMITMENT – This is a part-time, non-paid internship with flexible hours (average 15-20 hours per week, working 2-3 days in the office/week, plus event days). Regular schedule required. Position begins in January through late April or early May 2014.
