Donate to the Ferguson Youth Initiative

The Ferguson Youth Initiative (FYI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving youth (13-19 years old) in the Ferguson community by encouraging them and engaging them as active members of the community, developing programs as needed, and further communicating and partnering with existing community youth programs. Our goals are to foster a sustained network of opportunities for youth to have their voices and opinions considered in local governing and throughout the broader community.

FYI emphasizes youth participation in civic engagement. We practice inclusive planning with youth in decision-making roles to influence and shape community-based programing. Placing collaborations with existing community youth programs as a central value, FYI leverages volunteers, business leaders and local government to create a web of programming.

Our programs are managed by committed volunteers and sponsored by grants, private donations and fundraising campaigns. …

  1. Hello,
My name is Deborah Gambill and Ronald Montgomeryand I are publishing a new book that offers a positive view of community and changes that are taking place since November 2014. The name of our book is LET”S HEAL STL.

I have heard wonderful things about your group in particular that interest me in considering you as a possible recipient for some of our funds which will be made from sales of our new book. We are working with Rachel Witt of the South Grand Community Development Association and have spoken with Brian Fletcher from I LOVE FERGUSON.

We want make contributions to organizations that are making a real difference in their communities, to both heal from the devastation of 2014, but also to support efforts to improve communities so this never happens again.

Would someone from the Ferguson Youth Initiative please call me? I plan to be in the Ferguson area on Friday. I would like to sit down and speak with a representative from your group. If you are interested in being funded, I would also like to request a copy of your 501(c)3 paperwork at that time.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to meeting and learning more about your group. I hope we can work together to make a difference. Please contact me soon.

    Sincerely,
    Deborah Gambill
